Scalloping in Crystal River
Crystal River is probably best known for its manatees, but there’s another treasure to be found beneath our beautiful waters – bay scallops! Scallop season varies annually, but typically runs from early July through late September.
Scalloping is an incredible opportunity and one of the many reasons families return to Crystal River every summer. Our tours are suitable for all ages and a favorite among children because finding scallops is easy and fun. All you have to do is snorkel through the water, dive down when you see one and put it in your mesh bag. We’ll provide all the equipment
